Launched in 2015 by Observatoire Paris-Sud and Observatoire de Lyon, PSUP is a french research service for the distribution of high added-value datasets of planetary surfaces.

Multiple tools are available to work with intrument observations or global datasets, provide interfaces to help search, process or visualize data such as mineralogical maps, geomorphologic maps, DEM…

PSUP is categorized national observation service ANO-5 by the french national research institute CNRS/INSU.

The PSUP team is undergoing some changes. François Poulet and Hervé Ballans from IAS have decided to step back to focus more effectively on their other projects.

PSUP qualification renewed

We are delighted to share that CNRS-INSU committees responsible for ANO5 evaluations transmitted us their conclusions about the 2019-2023 period, and that they are very positive. The service is renewed and its value is highlighted by the extension recommandations that were suggested. These will feed the discussions for future orientations of the tools.
